for small dogs. only.Jul 03, 2008
By doggy maverick The mechanical hands are not big enough for large dogs poop. They fail miserably on grass surfaces.

Swoop PooperMay 11, 2010
By Chicago Max I have physical disabilities which make bending over to scoop the poop quite difficult & painful. Living in the city & walking two large dogs, I have been looking for something easy & efficient to use....not a huge rake or jaws that would be not only difficult to carry but also had to be cleaned after each use. Overall, the concept is good. It takes a bit of practice to get everything in one scoop. If the grass is tall or a little long, it is more difficult to get everything at one time. I do take my dogs to the beach & find that it works ok in the sand. Too bad the claw part is not metal...I think that metal would give a better scoop. I use a roll-a-tor (walker) to walk. I like that I can hang the swooper from the handle. Not much bending for me which is a plus. Having two dogs I still have to carry extra bags to hold the "filled" bags while we walk. The idea of just popping it into the trash is great if you only need to use one bag. I have also used regular poop bags in place of the ones that come with the Swoop Pooper & they seem to work just as well. I think it could also be improved if you could carry extra bags in the handle.
Overall, I am satisfied until I can find something that is even more efficient for my needs.

Good scooperMay 20, 2011
By David G. Excell This is a good product and fairly easy to use. The only problems I have had is that sometimes it is hard to get the scooper to "lock" in the open position. Also the replacement bags are expensive compared to other dog waste bags on the market. I do like this product though. It is a great product for not getting any of the doggie droppings on me.
Pretty good :)Nov 01, 2011
By Ash We just use regular grocery bags with it
and it works pretty good
we have 2 labrador dogs and they are about 50lbs and it picks up their mess
with a lil finaglin (not a word) :P and thats what its for right :)
so A+

By Amy This pooper scooper is awesome! I love it. It's easy to use, lightweight and it picks up the dog poop without any need to touch it. I would recommend purchasing disposable shower caps in bulk from a local beauty supply store in place of the bags that are sold to use with it. You can get 100 bags for about $7 vs. only 50 for $10. The shower caps don't fit quite as tightly but they will work just as well!
