 Great idea for aging dogsAug 28, 2008

I bought this jogging kit to convert the pet bicycle trailer into a jogging trailer for my 13 year old springer spainiel who is 55 pounds. It is a great way for us (our lab & I) to get to walk fast while also bringing our springer with us. The one drawback is the tire is unstable. It has a lock to keep it in the forward motion, but it creates a problem for turning, etc. When you don't lock the front tire, it wobbles constantly. But it's better than not bringing our doggie with us.

I bought this for our three shih tzus. We went to an RV park in the Keys and to get to the dog walk area you had to walk through giant rocks. It was very, very hard on our little dogs feet. So, I bought this to use as a stroller. My dogs LOVE it. I LOVE it. It glides through the rocks with no problem. It's extremely easy to push. The only minus is that my dogs liked it so much, they never wanted to walk. Whenever we let them out, they'd jump right into the stroller. My husband uses it behind his bike. Pulls like a dream. Never had a tipping problem and the dogs, one of which is scared of her own shadow, loved it and you could tell they felt secure. This product is awesome. I bought the large because I wasn't sure what size to get for all three. It's more that big enough. They can all lay down or move around without stepping on each other. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!

We love our Solvit pet stroller. I bought the red smaller stroller for our Sheltie that had trouble keeping up on our regular two mile hikes, especially in the hot weather. We bought the stroller as a complete unit, I don't have the bike attachment. Anyway our Sheltie just loves it and as soon as she gets tired she jumps right in. In fact she will try to jump in sooner if we let her, but we like to make sure she gets her exercise too. The air filled tires make for a smooth ride through bumpy wooded trails and the stroller is very easy to manuever through rocks, tree roots, sand, and hills.
One note of caution, while our Sheltie loves her stroller, our beagle wouldn't have anything to do with it, I can't even get her in it. I guess it depends on the paticular dog. For us it works great since the beagle has no trouble making the two mile walks and the Sheltie loves being pushed.
We have had ours for two years now and it still looks and performs like new! This is really a great product for aging dogs or dogs with health issues who can't handle long walks, but still love going for walks.
One last note: I guess amazon and Sovit don't sell just the stroller as complete unit anymore. At least I can't find it on Amazon.

Easy to handle, comfortable, loving itJan 30, 2010

I thought because of the size it may be a pain to maneuver, but it is actually pretty comfortable and it turns around with ease. My dog loves to be in it, which is good too because I thought he would try to get out. I am very happy with it. Everything doesn't fit perfectly, but almost. I recommend it.

This worked perfectly to bike and walk with our senior dog. She loved riding in it, and I highly recommend it for anyone who has a dog with mobility issues.
