Pet Pectillin a life saverJul 15, 2008
By M. Ellison My cat has had problems for years with digestive problems and boughts of chronic vomitting and diarrhea. I was told to try pepto-bismal, but that never seemed to help. I tried Pet Pectillin and with just one dose it started to work. Now I give my cat one or 2 doses a week as maintence and he has not had one of his "bad spells" since I started using this product. I would highly recomend this product. The ingredients in it are safer for animals than pepto-bismal and actually works.

The best pet diarrhea medicationJul 13, 2009
By Patricia My German Shepherd has colestridium, a chronic diarrhea condition caused by increased levels of bacteria in the intestines. It occasionaly flares up when he is stressed, or eats the wrong thing, like deer feces. Previously, my vet treated it with antibiotics, which were expensive, and took forever to kick in. This product is a lifesaver! It coats the intestines, and clears up the symptoms fast. It is a much more natural way to treat this condition. I even use it as a preventative, such as before a vet visit, or a long car ride. It literally keeps diarrhea from occurring. I have found that mixing his doses with cottage cheese, or pieces of cheese that he loves works much better than putting it on regular food or water that may not be finished. Plain yogurt or baby food is also a good idea to mix it with for pets that are picky eaters. Great product!

It works ok, but try to get your cat to take it.Jul 07, 2009

My cat had bad diarrhea and it lasted several days. I got her this medication and mixed one teaspoon into her food as directed. She would eat it, but eventually started eating less and less food because she didn't like the taste of the medicine in her food. She started begging me for human food every time I prepared a meal for myself and kept trying to eat off my plate. Finally, I started soaking the medicine into her dry cat food and then mixing in wet cat food to cover up the taste. That seemed to work better. If only this medicine came in little pills instead of the thick, white liquid! it is much easier to hide a little pill in a cat treat than mix this stuff with the cat's food! I had a lot of trouble with it, but eventually got enough of it into my cat to control her symptoms.
