This is a great light smelling shampoo that cleans as well as keeping my girls happy and tear free. Gentle enough for use on a weekly basis if needed.

I have a Schnauzer and a Schnoodle. The Schnoodle is a puppy, so spends time in a kennel while she's being trained on where the doggie restroom is. For some reason time in the kennel makes her smell like dog. I have been using an oatmeal shampoo by a large pet cosmetics firm whose name sounds like a muscular organ that pumps blood. The dogs don't like that shampoo on their face. At 7 months old, the puppy is the size and speed of a squirrel, and when she's slippery and I'm leaning over the side of the tub, things are so much easier when she enjoys having her bath. This PetHead tearless shampoo makes that possible. The shampoo's aroma is very pleasing to the humans in our household, and the dogs seem to find it calming during a bath. I can really lather up their very hairy faces and they actually seem to enjoy it. The Schnauzer indicates that it tastes good too. He's constantly licking his chops while I'm scrubbing his face.
After drying off postbath, the dogs' coats seem "fluffier" than they did with the oatmeal stuff. The chinks in their beards easily comb out, as if there may be conditioner in the shampoo. And the smell... my dogs have never smelled nicer.
