 Dogs love it--NOT durableApr 13, 2010

I did quite a bit of research and read all available reviews. I chose this product. My two 15 lb miniature schnauzers stay in the same cage and enjoyed the comfort this product offered. HOWEVER, it did not hold up more than two weeks before normal everyday dog play had created two holes in the fabric. Once created, they removed all of the internal stuffing. What is most disappointing is that overall my dogs are not chewers, yet I am out the money and am yet again shopping for another dog crate bed.
Bottom line: very comfortable bed, not at all durable.

This pet bed was even nicer than I had imagined when I ordered it online... very plush, just enough "stuffing" and fits into the crate really well. Our dogs love their new beds! I had shopped around quite a bit before ordering- many pet beds and crate pads were more expensive but not as nice as this one. Great quality and a good price- I would absolutely reccommend this bed to others!

Not what I expected. Cats shredded it in one day. Many pulls and holes in the fabric after just one use. Need something more durable. Nice feel to fabric, and had high hopes...

I disagree with the other reviewers who had quality issues. I own four of these pads and have had them several years. They have been through the washer and dryer countless times. The dogs dig, chew and move them around to get them just how they like them. They are not indestructible, but they have held up very well. 2 of the 4 have a small hole along one seam, but because they are double sewn around the edge, this only let out a small bit of stuffing which I quickly removed. I've washed both many many times since, and they haven't gotten any worse. We do use them as CRATE pads, though, and we don't confine our dogs to the crates long enough for them to get too frustrated and destructive. They are only in there for meal time and bedtime.
I'm really impressed with how well the four of them have held up to being washed at least once a week for several years and well loved by dogs who definitely are not perfectly behaved. ;-)
They fit our Midwest wire crates perfectly, but they were also great in our plastic airline type crates the we used before.
