The gate looks great, and is easy to install. It looks SOOO much nicer than any of the other gates we looked at, I would absolutely recommend spending the extra money to have something that looks nice, especially if your like us and the stairs are in the main entry way to your house

I ordered this gate to keep my 3 chihuahua's from going upstairs. It is at the top of my steps. After getting new carpet in my upstairs bedrooms, I didn't want to have to keep my bedroom doors closed all the time to keep them from peeing on my new carpet. This gate was the perfect solution! It was installed by my carpenter, although he said it was very easy. The hinged side was anchored into the wall, into a stud. It is VERY sturdy. It is easy to open. I can have both hands full and still manage to open and close this gate. I wish it would automatically close but that is my only complaint. This gate looks like wrought-iron and goes beautifully with the interior of my home. I ended up ordering two more gates and plan to have them installed in a few other areas of my home. This isn't your typical ugly baby-gate!!

Great Gate for top of stairsJan 06, 2009

We used this gate with extension for the top of our stair case (drywall on both sides) and it works great. It was easy to install and doesn't move at all since installation. My 30 lb. son has climbed on it, shook it and slammed it several times and the integrity of the gate is still exceptional. We open and close it at least 4 times a day and have had it for over a year. Highly recommend.

We have round posts at the top of our stairs...so we needed something that didn't need perfect right angles. This worked perfectly and was very easy to install.

It seems pretty simple to put on but it was hard trying to get the screw holes to line up and what you would think takes 10min really took 30min for just a small part to do!!!
