Perfect for bully sticks!Nov 25, 2009
By Shelly Duhn I bought this for my corgi puppy and was disappointed because it didn't seem well suited to the Kong treats. So, like many other toys, it got put aside and forgotten.
He absolutely loves to chew on bully sticks (we feed him less kibble so that he can have a bully every evening). In fact, he loves them so much, that one night, he forgot to chew the darn thing, and he swallowed, WHOLE, an 8 inch bully stick. He spent the night at the emergency vet - fortunately he digested it fine, but it was really scary!
So, I started putting bullies through the regular Kong toy, and it worked great - Puppy could chew the bully just fine, but there wasn't any danger of swallowing it whole. But it was such a pain to clean. There was always a little nub left in the toy and it was so g-r-o-s-s.
Finally I remembered that I had this bone, and it's perfect! Again, no danger of the dog swallowing the bully whole, and waaay easier to clean than the regular Kong toy. The small is the right size for bullies. Highly recommended!

Not the usual Kong StrengthSep 21, 2010
By L. White My dog had it chewed to pieces within a few days. The idea of the treat in the ends is a good one but unfortunately it is the weakest point of the toy.

Finally - a kong he likes!Mar 24, 2008
By E. L. Fough I bought a puppy kong and put peanut butter and some meaty treats (hey, you put your chicken in my peanut butter!) and my dog was bored to tears. But when I got this and put 1/2 a piece of jerky that he never gets to eat (too rich) in either end - he was so occupied trying to get the jerky out - he didn't see or hear me leave and when I came back 30 minutes later - he was still gnawing on it. Another reviewer commented on the shape - the jerky works well and I used a popsicle stick or dull butter knife to poke the leftovers out when finished. It seemed easier to clean than the regular kong, frankly.

AND NO I DID NOT BUY THE SPECIAL SQUEEZE CHEESE CRAP THEY SELL FOR THE KONGS, I BOUGHT A JAR OF PEANUT BUTTER AND USED A BUTTER KNIFE TO PUT IN EACH END! LOVE IT!

By Marina Ryan Kong, they make the best toys for dogs that chew alot. My dog always chews on it and it still has so much life to it. And you can even stuff some of them!!!
