Eh...Mar 07, 2011
By NOEEEZY The muzzle basically does the job so far, but my dog and I haven't put it to the test around other dogs yet. Partly because I'm still a bit nervous as to how it will hold up. The overall quality of the product is poor. It is basically constructed of a few pieces of velcro. The manufacturers could have at least made the product with a less abrasive material. I feel the product would chafe my dogs face if left on for longer than 15 minutes. All in all, it stays on my dog and works like the description minus the "comfort" part.

By pen I walk dogs for a living. I walk a border collie rescue, who is fine 99% of the time, but that 1%, when she "talks", and nips (at other dogs, children, people) because she wants to play, causes serious problems. I've been using the comfort muzzle, which is adjustable so she can drink and eat treats, doesn't stop her from being able to sniff. Like the aligator, the jaw muscles are strong when biting down, not trying to open. She tries to "nip" other dogs, but can not. It's been working fine for over a year, 5 days a week, and I have less stress wondering if and when she will "act out", since she can not open wide enough to "nip" or bite, or frighten people (and little dogs).
It could be "softer", yes, but to prevent a dog from being "put down" by a frightened person who got "nipped", it is a God send. It's gentle, it's light weight, it's functional, and easy to use. I highly recommend this muzzle, it's the most humane muzzle available, and works as good as the "basket" muzzles which are barbaric.

Great muzzle until it fell apart...Sep 21, 2011

Pulled apart at the neck sewn reinforcement square on it's 2nd use. I think the strap was not sewn in far enough. I would recommend checking stability of the sewing prior to using. Otherwise a very nice muzzle, comfortable fit for the dog.
Disappointing, flimsy constructionJan 12, 2012

Received this muzzle quickly and tried it on my setter (not the easiest to get on while the dog is squirming). Once it was on her correctly, she had it off in less than 5 minutes. Velcro also catches the fur. Incredibly flimsy construction. Can't believe you sell it for the price + shipping. Very disappointed.
