i ordered a medium and it was PERFECT for my Jack Russell. He's BIG for his breed (between 20-25lbs)the only thing i can say that i didnt care for was that some of the seams were bumpy and had to be worked out and couldnt be made totally smooth. The strap worked well, and my dog got used to it pretty quick, posed for great holiday pics. Overall I'm happy with this and would buy it again.

I have a SMALL golden retriever, and the large did not fit her like the lab in the picture. That lab must be a pigme dog because that is not how big the hat is. She wont wear it, and it wont even fit around her head. It did suit her for a Christmas chew toy, though.

Its rather difficult to get this to lay properly on the dog's head. It has padding inside so it doesn't flop over like some of the cheaper hats, but even if they lay still it is a little difficult to maneuver. However, it did make for some very cute photos!

I ordered a size large and it was much smaller than other 'large' sized pet items. My dog is large but smaller than a lab and this seemed too small. It still works and fits around his neck but the elastic is flimsy and looks and feels like it has been stretched out already. I bought a different elf hat at the same time and it is much more durable. Also, the white trim looks sort of off white. I will still use this item because dogs in hats are funny, but I wouldn't buy it again.

While it looks great, there is only a single elastic holding the hat in place. When my dog shacks it just comes off, which happens more often than not.
There needs to be a better way of fixing this to dogs with long hair..
